Preventative Measures
Ultraviolet Germicidal Irradiation (UVGI) products are used all around the world for infection prevention, using the proven power of germicidal UVC energy as an effective inactivation method for microorganisms, UVC Emitters improve HVAC environmental hygiene, making a vital contribution to indoor air quality.
UVC exposure inactivates microbial organisms such as bacteria and viruses by altering the structure and the molecular bonds of their DNA (Deoxyribonucleic acid). DNA is a “blue print” these organisms use to develop, function and reproduce. By destroying the organism’s ability to reproduce, it becomes harmless since it cannot colonize. After UVC exposure, the organism dies off leaving no offspring, and the population of the microorganism diminishes rapidly.

Procedure
The procedures offered aim to “break the chain” in further surface to surface or surface to person cross-infection. We achieve this using well understood effective deep cleaning, sanitising, disinfecting, sterilisation and surface treatments. Successful disinfection and decontamination of a building that has had a recent outbreak of coronavirus, requires a thorough understanding of that virus. The newest species of COVID-19 is still being researched for its means of transmission and best disinfection and decontamination procedures. Understanding COVID-19 allows us to create better coronavirus disinfection and decontamination protocols, use better chemicals, which ultimately allows for more successful decontamination and prevents contamination in the first place. Until further information is produced, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention has directed cruise ships, hospitals, schools, and businesses to rely on interim guidance for disinfection, based on the past successful decontamination techniques used for previous strains of viruses.
We use TGA disinfection products that have been rigorously tested and proven to kill bacteria and viruses such as COVID-19, Influenza and Norovirus. Products listed with the TGA are given a number in the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods.

Qualification and Industry Standards
